Title: Sexy
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Fandom & Pairing: Harry Potter, Remus/Tonks
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for sexuality and possibly TMI about the after-effects of childbirth on the female body
Format & Word Count: fic, 1058 words
Summary: As they adjust to being new parents, Remus and Tonks must get reacquainted with one another as a couple.
Author's Note: At four weeks post-partum, I am shamelessly writing fic inspired by my own recent experiences. Hey, at least I'm writing again, right? ;) As I adjust to my post-baby body, I've been thinking about [livejournal.com profile] drumher's lovely work of R/T fanart, One Last Kiss (see icon), and a comment she made once, somewhere, that she didn't think Tonks would morph away her post-partum features. (If you didn't actually say that, [livejournal.com profile] drumher, please don't sue me for libel.) I really admire that -- though if I could morph my old body back? Hell, yeah, I would!

All that to say, I agree with [livejournal.com profile] drumher, or whoever doesn't think Tonks would take the easy way out, and this piece is about Tonks, not me. Or rather, about how Remus deals with it. Or maybe it's about how Mr. Tater would deal with it…Argh, maybe there is too much of me in this…

Anyway! I hope y'all enjoy this fic. Feedback, as always, is very welcome, but it's been an age since I wrote fanfic of any kind, much less R/T fanfic, and I did this between feedings, diaper changes, and trying to comfort a fussy baby who won't nap, so please be kind. :)

Title: Between The Lines Part II/II
Authors: [livejournal.com profile] gilpin25 and [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: T for mild innuendo and bad goat jokes
Word Count: 11,844
Summary: Away on a solitary mission for the Order, Remus decides to send someone a ‘Wish you were here’ card. The consequences of which prove a lot more than both he and the recipient bargained for… Set during OotP.
Author’s Note: Back in May 2008 (cue embarrassed coughing from us both), we wrote the first half of this. As we definitely had to refresh our memories as to whereabouts and what our busy letter writing duo were up to in order to complete this second half of the story, we’d recommend a quick run-through of it, if you can spare the time, and it can be found here. Otherwise, Remus, away on a secret Order mission, sent Tonks a postcard, which led to friendship, flirting, awful jokes and, eventually, tentative romance by owl post. Misunderstandings and ink blots were plentiful, but Part I ended with Remus plucking up courage to invite her to come and spend an evening with him at the house where he’s lodging for the local ‘Up the Duff’ night, which is a celebration of food for anyone already thinking the rating on this should be higher. The story resumes with Tonks having just returned home after that evening, and as before, not only is it a fic by letter, but there’s plenty of visual stimuli and the odd surprise along the way.

Title: Unwrapped
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: R for sexuality
Prompts: presents and the quote: “We'll be changing the rules, a little bit. We are opening the presents now. Not later, now. Why? We're adults, and we can open our presents, whenever we want!” (The Ref)
Word Count: 2823 words
Summary: You know Remus wants you, but he doesn't realise you want him every bit as much... Tonks finds a way to get exactly what she wants for Christmas, but of course, it involves breaking the rules.
Author’s Notes: Written for the Pink Christmas Advent at [livejournal.com profile] metamorfic_moon, for the prompts presents and “We'll be changing the rules, a little bit. We are opening the presents now. Not later, now. Why? We're adults, and we can open our presents, whenever we want!” (The Ref). This fic's a bit of a departure in style for me; I thought it would be fun to experiment with something completely different, so I hope you all like my use of the 2nd person POV and alternating narrators. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] godricgal for her superb beta work.

Title: Ink Stains
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating: G
Format & Word Count: drabble, 384 words
Prompt: ink
Summary: Ted Tonks reacts to an announcement from his newlywed daughter.
Author's Note: For [livejournal.com profile] katyhasclogs, who had a earlier this week. My apologies -- I tried not to write you an angsty birthday drabble, but this furry little plot bunny bit and refused to let go. As I recall, though, you do like your R/T with a side order of angst, so I hope this will do. ;)

Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for innuendo
Format & Word Count: ficlet, 594 words
Prompts: R/T and Harry, Honeymooners 'verse, quaffle
Summary: How does an innocuous game of one-on-one Quidditch present Remus with a new teaching opportunity in a discipline for which he is hardly qualified?
Author's Note: A rather late birthday gift for [livejournal.com profile] shimotsuki. Hope this meets expectations, m'dear! Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] godricgal for the Brit-pick!

Rating & Warnings: G for Gross
Format & Word Count: one-shot, 1966 words
Summary: On Teddy's first birthday, a Lupin family tradition reveals that Remus' son doesn't share a crucial family trait... [Alternate Universe]
Author’s Notes: Just a bit of silliness, really, written for the prompts Honeydukes, Day of Shocks, and general at the [livejournal.com profile] metamorfic_moon Autumn Moonlight Jumble, October, 2008. Not for the weak of stomach, this fic is set in the same 'verse as The Honeymooners, in which a post-war Harry lives with Remus and Tonks and goes back to Hogwarts for his 7th year. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] godricgal for looking it over for me! And to [livejournal.com profile] tegdoh, who inadvertently inspired the plot twist....

Title: Party Till the Wolf Comes Home
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for alcohol use and language
Format & Word Count: one-shot, 7286 words
Summary: Fatherhood doesn't send Remus on a pub crawl, but announcing the birth of his son to his closest friends turns out to be the next best thing.

Title: In Sickness
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for innuendo
Format & Word Count: one-shot, 7880 words
Summary: Tenth in the Transfigured Hearts series: Remus at last gives in to Tonks' request to help him after the full moon, but when she sees him at his lowest, it's more than Remus bargained for. Will he push her away for the last time, or does their relationship still have a chance?
Author's Notes: Yet another revision, which has been a very long time in coming! This story follows Recurring Problem and was one of the main ones that always bugged me a bit, probably because I wrote the whole series out of order; Remus' behavior always seemed to come rather out of the blue in this one, so I wrote an opening scene to hopefully give it some context. (The original is here for any parties interested in comparing versions.) Many thanks to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] godricgal for enthusiastically betaing and helping me sort out the sticky issue of making a narrative shift from Tonks to Dora. (And encouraging me to get this project finished, lol.)

Title: Lying In
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating: R (for sexual activities)
Format & Word Count: double-drabble, 205 words
Summary: Sunday is for lying in...but doesn't a time come when you have to get out of bed?
Author's Note For [livejournal.com profile] gilpin25, who's been battling a bad back and all manner of related frustrations, and who requested R/T and a crossword to cheer her up. Hope this is the ticket, m'dear! If not, I blame the Novocaine. ;)

Before I get down to my regularly scheduled Friday housework, I come bearing another drabble. This one's for [livejournal.com profile] jessickuh, who requested a drabbe in which Remus and Tonks experience one of Teddy's "firsts." It's 300 words, rated G for gums, grey hair, and gratuitous baby-talk. I hope it's what the dentist ordered. I think we can safely say that my own recent dental drama has influenced my imagination.

Other completed drabble requests to-date, in case you missed them:

No Regrets (Sense and Sensibility, Brandon/Marianne) - for [livejournal.com profile] shimotsuki

Taking It In Turns (Harry potter, Remus/Tonks) - for [livejournal.com profile] tegdoh
mrstater: (Default)
For [livejournal.com profile] tegdoh, who requested Remus/Tonks, for the prompt wet. I thought I'd go a smutty direction with this one, but it didn't want to...I did get it in exactly 100 words, though!

Title: The Honeymooners
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for innuendo and implied sexuality
Word Count: 7862 words
Summary: Two years after their wedding, Remus and Tonks finally make it on their honeymoon. But now they've got something they didn't when they first married, will they be able to stop thinking about it long enough to enjoy themselves? Especially when letters from Harry read increasingly like cries for help?
Author's Notes: Originally written for The Beatles and the Bard Timeless Moon Ball at [livejournal.com profile] metamorfic_moon, this shameless Deathly Hallows Denial Fic was inspired by the prompt, Close your eyes and I'll kiss you / Tomorrow I'll miss you / Remember I'll always be true / And then while I'm away / I'll write home every day (from "All My Loving," by The Beatles). It's a sequel of sorts to a short piece I wrote called Anniversary, both of which are in the same ficverse as another fic, Once, though the only thing you need to know about it is that Mad-Eye named Tonks the beneficiary of his will, which gave her and Remus a house and a full Gringott's vault. ;) Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] godricgal, the bestest beta in the world! Feedback and/or concrit are always very welcome and much appreciated!

Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating: G
Word Count: 1435 words
Summary: "To a year of marriage."
Author's Notes: It's my fourth wedding anniversary today, so I thought I'd channel some of my sappiness into an appropriately fluffy R/T fic. Needless to say, this is AU. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] godricgal for looking this over for me! Dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] bratanimus, who is also celebrating her fourth anniversary today!

Title: Between The Lines Part I/II
Authors: [livejournal.com profile] gilpin25 and [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Rating & Warnings: T for mild innuendo
Word Count: 6966
Summary: Away on a solitary mission for the Order, Remus decides to send someone a ‘Wish you were here’ card. The consequences of which prove a lot more than both he and the recipient bargained for… Set during OotP.
Author's Note: We had so much fun writing our last joint endeavour, "Up All Night", together that we decided to team up again, this time for something completely different. Except that, frighteningly, we can never get too far away from animal droppings... There might just be a few surprises along the way -- not of the aforementioned variety. Let's just say, that where visual stimuli are concerned, this is not your average fanfic. And I count myself very lucky to have the opportunity to write again with such a brilliant writer as [livejournal.com profile] gilpin25. Thanks for asking me again, m'dear. :)

Title: Perchance To Dream
Author: [personal profile] mrstater
Format & Word Count: one-shot, 4146 words
Rating & Warnings: R for smut; original character
Summary: A dream leads to an argument and an unexpected quest to seek out the meaning. Will Remus and Tonks kiss and make up? More importantly, who will come out on top?
Author's Note: Originally written for the March 2008 "Not Forgotten" ficathon at [profile] rt_challenge , this fic was inspired by the prompts awake and whimsy, and the question, "Can one write Deathly Hallows humor?" One tried...The dream meaning which I have attributed to JK Rowling's The Dream Oracle actually comes from the Dream Moods A-Z Dream Dictionary. Many thanks to my fantastic beta reader, [personal profile] godricgal , who had a dream and gave me a plot bunny and urged me to run amok with it. (So blame her for this. ;))

Title: Untouchables
Author: [livejournal.com profile] mrstater
Format & Word Count: one-shot, 6985 words
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for abusive language and a post-torture situation
Summary: Remus and Tonks run from birthday parties and wedding receptions, but bigotry catches up with them. So do the side effects of pregnancy. (Sequel to Water Falls and Once)
Author's Note: An attempt at making sense of Remus' and Tonks' abrupt departure from Harry's birthday party at the Burrow, the aftermath of Bill and Fleur's crashed wedding, and Remus' meltdown at Grimmauld Place, this fic was originally written for the "Not Forgotten" ficathon at [livejournal.com profile] rt_challenge and was inspired by the prompts, I If you gave me nothing / Nothing more than this / I would have the / memory to keep / Let me make a simple wish / As we fall asleep / Let me wake with you by my side ("Always" by the October Project) , and a photo of a woman with flying pink hair. The excerpt at the beginning of the fic is from Deathly Hallows Chapter 7, and one line from Chapter 11. Concrit and feedback are welcome.

As always, thanks to my awesome beta-reader, [livejournal.com profile] godricgal.

Title: Once

Format & Word Count: one-shot, 4200ish
Rating & Warnings: R for sex. Lots of sex.
Summary: Remus and Tonks have been a little careless. The consequences.
Author's Note: A sequel to Water Falls, this fic was written for the March 2008 "Not Forgotten" ficathon at [profile] rt_challenge , for the prompt: Sex contains all, / Bodies, Souls, meanings, proofs, purities, delicacies, results, promulgations, / Songs, commands, health, pride, the maternal mystery, the seminal milk; / All hopes, benefactions, bestowals, / All the passions, loves, beauties, delights of the earth, / All the governments, judges, gods, follow’d persons of the earth, / These are contain’d in sex, as parts of itself, and justifications of itself. ("A Woman Waits For Me" by Walt Whitman) The excerpt at the end of the fic is from Chapter 7 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Many thanks, as always, to [personal profile] godricgal .

Title: Water Falls
Author: [personal profile] mrstater
Format & Word Count: one-shot, 2256 words
Rating & Warnings: R for sex (including a NWS illustration)
Summary: The Battle Of the Seven Potters bereaves Tonks of her mentor after an attempt on her life. The aftermath.
Author's Note: Originally written for the March 2008 "Not Forgotten" ficathon at [profile] rt_challenge , for the prompt "distance," this story is a "missing moment" from chapter five of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The italicized excerpt at the beginning are JK Rowling's words, not mine--if they were, I'd call him Remus, not Lupin ;). Many thanks to [personal profile] godricgal , who deserves the title World's Best Beta. Really.
